It seems like it is of better quality that the one sold by Lidl couple of weeks ago. Heat!

I bought one few weeks ago from B&Q for about £50, back then I shopped around and nothing close to 250kg load was at that price range, IMHO you wont get better quality workbench for 30ish quid
Thanks, added to description for anyone preferring amazon

Ditto me too, great work horse these are. I think I paid given inflationa hell of a lot more than this in 1990

The only way this Workmate will last 25 years is if you keep it stored in the box. This is made of tin in comparison to the old ones. OK for occasional light/moderate use.

I bought dad a replacement one, we left ours folded up one afternoon outside bay window and bloomin scrap man knicked it,
news ones pathetic built quality to old ones, god nothings make like yrs ok.
we paid £25 in sale at time and dad reckons that's all it worth, he would of far sooner looked for a second hand old one.

I agree with "roberts432"; compared to the one I bought 10/15 years ago this one is rubbish. It's thinner steel and as a consequence is as usefull as a chocolate fire guard. In use it's wobbly and unstable.
I took the one i bought back to the shop and replaced it with a Bosch one (it cost more but was well worth it).

Had mine for over 30 years and still stands the test of time. Don't know what I paid then, but probably not much different!

Just got mine for £20 (used Nectar points). Better quality than the store own brand ones that I break within a year or so but defo not worth the supposed £70 rrp.
