Instead of buying them on Ebay and risking having no electrical safety certification, these are the best decent brand I could find at this price. Theyre also 355 lumens, so a true 50 watt replacement.

I bought some of these and took them back. I had bought a set of four Ever Ready ones to try at one side of my kitchen and then saw the previous post for these and bought them to do the other side of the kitchen and utility. I compared the wickes ones side by side with the Ever Ready ones and there was no comparison unfortunately. I took the wickes ones back and bought some more of the Ever Ready ones. More expensive yes but whiter and better.
I did buy the screwfix bayonet 60w equivalent and they are ok for our table lamps in the living room. Don't buy the 40w equivalent candle bulbs from toolstation. They are not very bright at all.
buy minisun brand from amazon and you will be amazed trust me.

Poundland have 5W Gu10's .
Make sure you get the 5w as they also do 3w ( they come in little boxes )
They were just as brights as the 50w halogens i swapped them for, and they have a slightly better spread of light too.

Yes the poundland ones are fine in my bathroom...as they are only on occasionally I am not really concerned about the "light quality"...more a case of saving on using 30W (led) rather than 300W (halogen) when in use.

I tried the Wickes, it was not good for my mums kitchen.( 6 on a long tail light on the ceiling) there was a lot of dark places, adjusting the angle did not get, they have such a narrow angle/beam
I don't know what you guys think of them, or know better ones, but they have been ok, wish they were a little bit brighter, but they have a really wide angle, good for a kitchen.

I have these everywhere in my house and cannot tell the difference between these and the old halogens they replaced. I am very happy. My entire kitchen now consumes less power than 1 of the old bulbs!

I have these and actually think they are quite decent - definately brighter than the old 50W halogen, and is a nice warm light - not too cold and blue/white
beam angle did look narrow when I bought them but in practice seems ok, I do not habe any other gu10 leds to compare to though
