yes for the fast charger to work you need to buy a charger that is rated qualcomm 2.0 or higher this only has one port that is qualcomm 2.0 rated

If it's a certified Qualcomm quick charge device then it will. Pretty sure the S6 uses a Samsung processor so no.
As for the product this year's devices will have moved onto version 3.0 so won't charge as fast.
Cheers. My Anker died slowly died on me to the point that I was suffering withdrawal. This will keep me happy and some.

thanks bought it. as non prime member I added 2 of 3x1.2m USB cable add on item and the whole thing came to £ 18 .xx something which is brilliant all new USB cables and a charger.

Would you need to buy new higher capacity charging cables for devices (iPad etc) to benefit from this charger, or prevent the cables from overheating?

2.0 has fixed charging voltages and amps. 3.0 has variable voltages and amps.
Most 2.0 devices drop to standard (5v2A) charging at about 75% battery capacity. On quick charge 3.0 it will drop off the voltage and amps slowly so will charge the last part faster.
