All 23 episodes from the first season of the action adventure following the DC Comics superhero. Years previously crime scene investigator Barry Allen (Grant Gustin)'s mother was killed by a mysterious supernatural entity that he describes as lightning in the shape of a man. Nobody believes what he saw and his father was wrongly convicted of the crime. Ever since Barry has been looking for answers, hoping to prove his father's innocence. Nine months after being struck by lightning and covered in chemicals while in his laboratory Barry wakes up from a coma to find he has superhuman powers. He decides to use his new abilities to fight other superhumans created by the storm who are using their powers for evil.

And we had John Constantine in Arrow but they dropped the ball a bit. In Arrow they said Thea had the bloodlust from the Pit but Sara didn't because Constantine made her whole again but in Legends of Tomorrow Sara still definitely has it!

I find the Flash boring. Its the same story as Smallville except an explosion at the lab that gives people super powers as opposed to a meteor shower. Whats the point?
Ive watched upto episode 5 of the first series and its not keeping my interest - should I persevere?

I have not watched Smallville so can't really advise but on the whole it is a bit samey I guess but it's pitched at younger/teens so nothing too involving. I still watch it but its just light entertainment. I watch Arrow too and find that more interesting although it is also a bit too far fetched for its own good at times but I really enjoy Arrow. I just have to ride the bumps on that. I mentioned Arrow because from time to time Arrow and The Flash work together and the story overlaps such as the Vandal Savage guy who is now the main focus of DC Legends of Tomorrow - now that's an odd one because to me its pitched the same as The Flash audience but they do swear in it.
