A great scientific calculator with large 10 digit display, plastic keys, stylish hard casing, protective clip on cover and 56 functions.

Not in the same class as the Casio 83gt plus. It would have to be a lot cheaper than the Casio to be worth buying this one, and it isn't.

did the job in 90's when HP and Texas were much more expensive, Casio is king now, for £2, it can still do the job in 2016.

I used to buy the Casio calcs, but recently switched to Canon they uses the same screen and powered by the same chip and can be found cheaper than the equivalent casio i.e. Casio FX-991ES PLUS vs Canon F-789SGA virtually identical except that the canon has a few more functions and can be found as cheap as a tenner (note it's a high-end product) so very cheap.

All this hard case packaging. I rather liked it when calculators were slim and came in wallets.

People are usually lying on this site when they claim to buy an excessive amount of a product

If you're buying this for yourself, sure. But don't buy this for your children. Buy Casio's, since they are the most reliable and easy to use. Also during exam season, teachers sometimes give hints on useful functions which Casio calculators can do which is not usually applicable to this calculator
