Tesco value cordless phone model AWB001 £225 instore at tesco Cannock. Yellow ticket so probably nation wide. I know it's nothing fancy but got to be worth £2.25 even as a backup phone.

Fair point re price but the only true viable backup landline phone is a wired one, otherwise any wireless model's basestation is useless without mains supply if in a power cut situation.
battery don't last at all cuts out after 5min or less and crackling not good connection at all

I think he means as a quick replacement should the current phone malfunction rather than to use in the event of nuclear war or an unexpected zombie apocalypse.

Just use this for the mother in law calling then.

I'm disappointed - over four hours and no pictures of our favourite feathered friend.

Ideal for a student on a budget, big time heat.

a student on a budget wouldn't likely have a fixed line phone contract though, but a good payg mobile deal.
i would to try one of these for a walk-around-the-house voip phone for a change, at the moment i use my 1970/80s house phones. so, good price is they are to be found.
