I am surprised. Thought Sainsburys would be selling it at least £8 by now considering their prices on everything else

There is also pork shoulder for £2.50/kg

How much is it currently from the meat counter? Their counter pork is free range as I understand.

£2 per kg at Asda, but good deal if Tesco is your only option...

Unbelievable prices really,, got similar large joint at Asda for £8 (as said its £2 a KG) cut up into joints (small 300/400g ish) and got about 10/12 or so out of it.... :smiley: add in lidl/aldi cheap veg or asda wonky and job done...........

It's probably also not British and part of the problem why British farms will be few and far between in the not so distant future... Those savings will cost the country a lot more in the long run

I can't believe that Sainsburys has so much money that it wants to buy up Argos and Homebase! Everything is expensive there. It took me nearly 2 hours to run up £30 and I didn't really remember what I came home with!
