I'm so glad I'm not the only one talking about this stuff.
The people need to know what they buy.
As well as causing cancer (the leeching of chemicals via heat especially)
it also contains aluminum which is a neurotoxin linked to Alzheimer's disease.
Stainless steel or cast iron might be better (I may have to research further)
than aluminium and teflon/non stick coatings.
But stainless steel and iron can leech nickel, chromium and iron into your food...probably not a good idea but aluminum I'm guessing is worse.
(Don't quote me on it though....I'm not certain)
But (non leaded/non crystal) glass or ceramic seem to be the best options I know of. I don't think they leech anything.
But I do have to question something....that shiny layer on ceramic surfaces....what the hell is that made of?
Anyway I agree, throw out all aluminum and teflon pans if you can help it.
It's worth it to reduce your chance of developing cancer and Alzheimer's.
Darn it....just realised my grill has a non stick coating....most likely teflon. :disappointed:

Why would anyone that doesn't make crepes for a living buy a crepe pan?
Surely a frying pan is better...?

Teflon is toxic! Research "DuPont Teflon!" Avoid and throw say any Teflon coated pans!

As it's from Poundland, I'm expecting it to be a load of "crepe" but you never know! :smirk: Edit: Damn, I'm so predictable!
