Includes 9 DLCs but neither of the ones that really matter (Gods & Kings and Brave New World). Personally I'd wait until the complete edition goes on offer for £7-8 because those 2 DLCs make a massive difference to the game and are hard to get hold of cheaply on their own.
That wasn't up when Buzz posted originally. It's the one I'd go for if you wanted the game though despite being £4 more.

I recently bought the Complete Edition on Steam, you can kiss your spare time goodbye. It's quite addictive.

Do these expansion packs improve civ 5? God knows what the reviewers were playing perhaps they are too used to dumbed down COD shooters, its crap compared to civ 4. The city states are a bit pointless and annoying, the poor dialogue options - civ II seemed more in depth, don't like the way any unit can go in the sea, less strategy needed early on like triemes loaded with settlers, can't trade technologies - wtf. Not yet managed to get in to the modern era, does it get better?
Thank god it was free, I'd be raging if I paid full price.

Warning, Will Robinson!
If you have the slightest hint of an addictive personality, run away as fast as your little legs can carry you.
I recall playing Civ 1 on one of my flatmates' desktop computers when it first came out. This was back when far fewer people had any sort of pc, let alone laptops.
We almost literally fought to take turns. I'm telling the absolute truth when I say that there were occasions when we played for something like three days solid with only a few hours sleep scattered here and there and only the most rudimentary attempts to eat. Fortunately we were all on the dole having just left University.
Because of the utter devastation the blasted game wreaked on my social life, not to mention my sanity, I avoided playing for many years. Then I made the mistaking of getting tempted by the devil's work that is Civ 4. Experienced Civ-ers can guess the rest.
Thank God I took early medical retirement and am currently not in a relationship, that's all I'm saying. Suffice to say I had to put myself through rehab and haven't touched a drop of this truly evil game for some time.
I'm torn over whether or not to give heat. While in one sense the OP deserves it, part of me thinks it would be no different than giving heat to someone posting links to a heroin dealer offering massive discounts.

Heat added.
