Ok price but you can often get these cheaper in store at B&Q - I paid £4 from B&Q last year but it was in store not online so if your in their worth a look.

These are great value, my mother in law has had them for about 5 or 6 years and only had to throw them away last week. Can't really argue with that for £6 !

Alright, so I got this floor lamp yesterday. Its ok for £6... don't expect it to be more than just a floor lamp lol also note that the black wire and on/off switch hang down along the outside of most of the floor stand. This looks really silly! I ended up taking the light apart and fed the cable through the inner pole instead.
Just un-wire both ends (the lamp holder and plug ends) and flip the cable upside down (so the on/off switch is relocated nearer to the floor). The on/off switch will now be at the bottom instead of near the top in full view. Relocate the tube segment that has the black rubber ring to the bottom instead of the top so you can run the wire out from the bottom. I had a spare standard light bulb fitting in my toolbox so I replaced it from the screw fitting that it came with to a bayonet cap 22 fitting.
I know, seems a lot for a £6 lamp but it only took me 20 mins or so. I have no idea why the manufacture didn't do this in the first place!
