I have 2 of the SANDISK Ultra II's in a mirrored raid array on my desktop and at work we have 60 PC's with the 120GB versions in them as the system disk. Been in use for 12 months now and they have been brilliant. Very fast and boot times are quick. All the SANDISK Pen drives I have had at home and work for years also are perfect, never had a failure. So cannot confirm you bad experiences.

I've never had a Sandisk Ultra or Extreme SDHC card fail and I've had literally dozens of them. There are a lot of fakes on the market though - so are you sure you haven't bought cheap fakes off ebay or other dodgy sellers?

I would have thought this was an exaggeration until my Sandisk SSD Ultra II failed after only a month of very light use, in fact I never even filled more than 20%. First SSD or drive of any type to fail on me for years let alone that quickly. Maybe a bad batch but this was bought recently via a reputable seller on a deal here, not Ebay..... Hopefully the replacement will be ok, if not then I will be avoiding like the plague.

80 seems like the new standard "sale" price for the SSD Plus, and 85 for the Ultra II
*shrug* I guess if you just need a drive

Hope so...
Just bought one for the parents build.
Going to hold all our media, but I suppose it's always good practice to back up on an external source in any case

I'd wait for the Ultra II unless you have an urgent need for an SSD. The Ultra II write speeds are a lot faster and the drive has been available several times in the £80-89 range

SSD Plus is actually MLC vs TLC for Ultra II. During writes, once the nCache fills up on the Ultra II, you end up with poor 100MB/s TLC speeds until the cache is flushed completely.

I had a Sandisk 64GB SSD fail within 30 minutes of putting in the PC. However it was just probably luck of the draw.
