£200 knocked off. Looks decent. Will add reviews to the post.
Still around £700 at John Lewis, Amazon and Richer Sounds, I think...
No 3D.
BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, All 4 and Demand 5 offer all you need to keep you up to date, but if that's not enough content to enjoy, you'll also be able to stream 4K movies and more from subscription sites like Netflix and Amazon Prime Instant Video.

Yup, this is an old Dixons Group trick that still carries on around the various spin off chains - they have the electrical product specifically labelled and given a model number exclusive to the group or chain, and they then claim it is a different model and not subject to price match.
£530? (Is this not just the Currys version so they don't have to price match?)

what i find telling is that currys pcworld, tesco, asda, etc, have so little confidence in the lines they sell that they will not offer a five year guarantee. these retailers are more knowledgeable than us and they don't trust the product to last five years. if they did they would offer it

It's not that at all! they WANT the product to fail so that you need a new one. My friend used to be a divisional manager and he said that they have considered this several time but thought it would affect sales.

Looking for a decent 4k telly, is there anything better than this on offer at the moment?

Or will OLEDs come down in price soon?

they likely will...CES 2016 started bringing a lot of affordable oled options in PCs...I would guess you'll see oled price drops in TV soonish, but not 100% sure.

I have the U 6450 which is a Currys specific model. The price was £689 when I bought it in December.
It's ok but there are problems of motion judder (soap effect ) on Eastenders and Coronation St especially which no amount of motion setting adjustment seems to improve.
Also viewing angles are very poor resulting in loss of picture colour when viewed from even the slightest angle from the side.
Took me around 2 weeks fiddling with the settings to get the colour decent.
Ended up setting it up on dynamic colour and reducing the preset colour by 5.

not sure if you're making a joke re soap effect, but cant you just turn off motion interpolation? should solve the problem...just a setting.
