I never ever had printer from that company but reviews are good. price is low and you can buy cheap toners for it.

follow on from my last post - I tried using the manual paper feed on this printer this week to print some Christmas labels , this just wouldn't work properly from my Mac, i think it must be the generic PCL drivers (gutenprint) you have to use. The label print did work perfectly from my windows 10 PC however using the supplied Ricoh printer driver for windows.

For those who are having trouble with the wifi being forgotten each time the printer is turned off. This site has the info to fix it. You basically need to go to the printer and set it with a static ip.
Bought this last week to replace a 20 year old HP laser 4l . Have to say I'm delighted with the purchase. It prints much fatser than the old HP. I Plugged it in to my Imac via USB and it worked out of the box. The wifi setup was more challenging however, the only way i could get this set up was a manual setup. This required connecting the printer via usb to a windows laptop and using the smart monitor software downloaded from the RICOH website. Using this software you can log into your router and an IP address is assigned to the printer (usually 192.168.x.x format) you can then use this IP address when setting up the printer on all other pc's and Macs . Also got it working with my iphone utilising the free RICOH app of the apple store.

Toner coming with this printer is only 25% filled, maximum 50 to 75 pages. After that buy genuine toner for £75 or after market for £40. Not worth

This. Every printer especially the cheap ones have some unhappy customers. In the end you have to go for one which fits best with your requirements with a quality that is good enough and hope for the best. If it is not working from the start at least you can send it back, and if it is cheap there is not much to lose if it does not last.

A word of caution: I bought a Ricoh 100 series b&w laser printer, and it was buggy from the first use. It was very cheap, but it never worked properly and I had to get creative to make the drivers work. I don't know about the 200 series, but I suspect it's similar under the hood, and so very likely suffers from the same faults.
In my experience, all home printers are bad, but if you're going to buy a printer, do some research on the internet and try to find one that won't reduce you to tears of frustration. I've read comments on forums about printers that actually did work properly, but there are always people who have had the opposite experience. I think it's a good idea to look at recent reviews of OLD printers; if a printer is still performing well after 5 years, then that's a much safer buy than a brand new printer that will probably fail before the pre-installed 15% full ink cartridges run out.

I received mines today. nice piece of kit for so small price. had a bit of a fight to set up the WiFi connection but problem was with my WiFi repeater/extender not the printer itself. now the problem is solved and is working fine

Don't suppose anyone knows of a mono laser that prints and scans AND is wireless for cheapo price?
Changes all the time Pricespy still shows it as £24.99, though they brought their price down on Amazon now to £26.99! Another seller on Amazon yesterday The Monitor Shop was the lowest selling for about £25.

Just looked on Amazon - Compatible toner seems to be around £25 delivered...
The OP one is wireless but not multifunction.
The one I have is the SP 112SU (amazon link posted earlier) is not wireless but does print, copy and scan. I can't comment yet on cost of toners as still using the one supplied with printer.

I don't print anywhere near a volume that would warrant that expenditure, chances are the printer would begin picking up multiple pages and require a service before the toner expired. £20 for a brand new printer every 2 years is ideal.
For people who do have larger volume needs I don't think they'd trust a £20 printer.
How much do the toners cost and could I have a link for them please? Much appreciated.

I'm very pleased with it, so far, much better than cheap Brother laser printer which was rubbish text was so faint. It is well made and very good value at this price.
The only thing to be aware of is that unless you buy direct from Ricoh there is no dedicated technical customer support you are expected to go to retailer. There is nothing at all wrong with the printers they just seem to me to be geared to big business users and can't be bothered that is why these are cheap.

I got the Pantum P2010 off here about two years ago (for 17 quid delivered?!) which was reported to have a basic toner of about 600 pages in it. I think it will probably last til hell freezes over. If you're a low use kinda person (i.e only print flight tickets and cheap pizza vouchers) then I wouldn't worry about the toner running out for a looong while.

Crikey, the ebuyer one with scanner seems cheap. Any impressions on it?
Bought a Dell 1130 and still have 25% toner left (700 pages capacity) after more than two years ago. Very light user though

Hmmmm I got one of these when the deal was £19.99 and it's lasted me two years with occasional useage. Toner ran out a while ago and more than I paid for the machine to refill it.
No problems with it though, does the job.

Part of the problem is that the included toner only has 700 pages capacity. A standard toner has 2000, and the high capacity toner 5000. So it only makes sense that the refill costs a bit more.

Good printer for the money. I got the scan and copy one for similar money. Not worth buying replacement inks for it just sell it when it gets low
