I'm afraid you've fallen victim to the supermarket pricing con.
Before Xmas 780g plastic tubs of Quality Street were on offer at £3.50 sometimes £4.00, but they were never more than that, despite the supermarkets telling us it was a half price offer.
There's no way this was ever really £3.50, which would have made if twice as expensive as the tubs! Sainsburys were selling these at £2.00, so while £1.75 is still a decent offer, it's nowhere near as good as you might think.
