With the relatively close release of Pokken Tournament (March 18th) I thought that now would be a good opportunity to start posting the best pre-orders currently available. This game is currently listed at £39.99 on Amazon.
This is a "unique" fighting game starring Pokemon, it could possibly be a sleeper hit due to the relatively quiet build up it's had compared to the popularity that Pokemon still has to this day.
Just because it doesn't appeal to you doesn't detract from the fact that this is currently the cheapest option for purchasing this game. Therefore it is a good deal until something betters it. Simple.

Buyer beware on this one, pokemon fans are sure to buy it, but its been pulled from arcade distribution for poor profits and negative feedback. And if a pokemon or a fighting game struggles in Japan, usually doesn't bode well for said game.
That being said its now a headline game for Evo '16 after some apparent promotion deal.
Not to mention its designed controller doesn't function on the player one side
Heat for the price though

The controller looks awful! Definitely @gamble1984 this is by no means a core Pokemon entry.

the reason the profits were supposedly poor on it is because the arcade version was quite easy, so one credit would last the whole game, meaning people weren't pumping coins in every two minutes like they would for, say, Time Crisis. Having said that, I'm not going to be picking this up despite being a fan of both Pokemon and Tekken

Who on Earth is upvoting this? The game is garbage, from an awful, childish franchise. The dedicated controller is one of the fugliest things I've ever seen and if people think £37 is a bargain, it says a lot about the franchises fans.

Congratulations on your review having never played the game. I look forward to your review of Forza 7 before it comes out.

How can this be bad? Isn't it made by the Tekken team?!? Was excited for this, arcade versions of games are watered down usually as they are made to take your coin.

£36.99 is still too much but I'm hoping Amazon price matches Base just so I pay even less (have it currently at £21.82 on Amazon with all the leftover credits and whatnot).
I asked Hori's rep via email what made the Pokken controller so much better than any other out there and his answer was "it's the intended way of playing Pokken as if you were at the arcades". Meh, don't really care about that, I prefer to play with a comfortable controller and for that I'll pick the Wii U Pro Controller (or maybe Gioteck GC-2).
For anyone who's not seen it:
It looks like it'd be great for retro games considering the controller only has a D-PAD.
It's not bad at all, in fact it'll be pretty awesome. A fighting game developed by the Tekken team about Pokémons? Count me in!

I think this looks pretty good but the £50rrp seems a joke

The £50 RRP is from Nintendo Store themselves but it's no surprise really, Nintendo Store normally charges typically high prices whereas other retailers sell the same product for half price or so.
So basically, just for £10 more a customer at Nintendo Store could get with the arcade controller. Weird pricing. lol

Yes and No, its made by the dev and directors but not necessarily the same team considering there working on Tekken 7. Also the game runs off the Tekken Tag 2 engine, rather than Unreal 4 which is what Tekken 7 runs in, which makes it even more unlikely the same dev team is developing both titles at the same time for console.
Also the game removes the 3 tier hit system, no High, Med, Low hits, no overheads or sweeps, everything no matter the hit box hits mid. So its extremely watered down in terms of fighting games.
