58/92 MB/s write and read speed. sequential
The shortcoming is it has slow random write speed.
Sandisk Extreme U3 has very good random write speed compare to all U3 cards I used, few times faster. But you cannot find it at this price.

Is random write performance important? You'd be doing sequential writes for photography and videography.

Wouldn't matter so much in a camera, only an issue if it was being used as additional storage in a smart phone or tablet but seeing as this is a full size SD card that's unlikely. I suppose you might use it to boost a laptop or netbook but even then you'll probably use it for file storage and not for installing applications etc.

Got the elite performance one (100MB Write) from Curry's last year for £5 more. It's a great card.
