As you can see is a nice match for the Yoshi themed Wii Remote if you already own that or want it.

Nice looking controller but it has fake analogue triggers so it may confuse/annoy someone out there due the Wii U not recognising analogue triggers. I tried using my Gioteck GC-2 controller with Most Wanted and there wasn't any control in velocity, it went right to the maximum.
Hope Hyperkin makes a 2.0 version of the ProCube controller with 20hrs battery life or more and in not so limited quantities:

Ignore the "Smash" and "Fighting Pad" descriptions. That is just there to associate and piggy back on the hype of Smash Bros and help to sell them. Any Wii U game or Wii game I have ever tried, this controller works with it except for Splatoon which is the exception. But then Splatoon is a unique forced Wii U screen pad forced usage game I think? Does not work with any controller as far as I know.
The PDP pads are describe as Gamecube Replica's (very close in design), but classic controllers as they are universally compatible with games.
These controllers are excellent for playing Mario Kart 8. Excellent for any platform game too.

Yes, but you need 1 remote per 1 controller. So when I play Mario Kart with the family 4 player, we use 4 PDP's Controller Pads and 4 Remotes. The PDP controllers do not plug into the Wii U.
I have the Luigi, Mario, Peach, Yoshi, PDP Pads, and the same character remotes, they all match up great.

Accidentally closed the tab and lost my entire post. In brief, check out the Hori pads as well as they seem to get slightly more positive reviews. Heat added for the price though as these PDP ones are a fiver cheaper per pad.
Bought all four designs (mario, pikachu, luigi and zelda) as they work on Nintendont, Virtual Console, MK8, Smash etc. as well). Luckily sold a pair of Wavebirds to cover the cost.
