Just noticed this at Argos on-line, I think it works with most Android Bluetooth devices not just the Nexus player.

The official Google Page says "Also works with other Android TV devices.", so I'd imagine it's recognised as a Bluetooth controller, like many of the remotes you can get for the RasPi's.
