Ironically I was going to ask the same question!, but rather in regard to an Android Box, &/or a Mini Windows/Android PC Box, etc, etc?, hmmmmm. :-)
Thanx for everyone's comments that have since followed too. :-)
Anything else can anyone else add to my intended use for it also?, thanx.

can't see why this wouldn't work with the fire tv, I have a mini wireless all in one for my fire box and that works perfectly.

you might be better off looking for an all in one solution as the seperate mouse and keyboard used with a fire tv could get tiresome.

I've got one - it does have Fn keys. Not the best keyboard in the world but the mouse is quite good & battery life is excellent.

If you are looking for a keyboard with trackpad for use with tv, kodi etc I picked up a bit of a bargain last Sunday when I was in Sainsburys. I picked up a Microsoft Media all in one keyboard for £9.99.
It was on the end of the aisle and only one left. I was going to post it on here but then thought it's wrong to post what maybe just a one off deal at one store. There was a sticker on it saying reduced but no price so went and checked and was pleasantly surprised.
Same as the one below. Please don't make a special trip to Sainsburys. If you are in there have a look, take it to customer services and ask for a price enquiry.
I picked mine up last night, nice bit of kit. space bar doesn't have maplin emblazoned on it thank God.
both the mouse and keyboard are of decent build quality and worked straight off the bat.
might order another set, don't know what but sure I can find a use lol

Great price for this, I just installed kodi on my spare core i5 desktop to save having to buy an android box so this wireless little kit will be a godsend as currently much to my wife's annoyance I have the desktop, keyboard and mouse stuck in middle of the floor in living room so can hide it all away behind TV now. Also got 4% quidco so heat added
