Matalan does not do much for me, Similar quality to Primark. It looks good stuff for the money but the clothes do not wash well.

Admittedly I haven't bought anything recently, but I would say they are a world apart from Primark. Have bought loads of brand names over the years and never had a problem with laundering or wearing.

Bought clothes in 2012 that im still wearing today! Still the same colour as before.
Maybe the quality has changed over time?

I must have been lucky as I've got tops and jeans I bought 4 or 5 years ago and they are still fine, as opposed to the 2 or 3 washes I get from Primark stuff!
