Hot - I keep thinking about cancelling my Monthly subscription as the only good games I've gotten from it are ones that I already have, but I've managed to sell them on or trade them for other games so I'm at least getting my money's worth. Case in point - I already have Ark, but $12 for it is a steal, easily worth more than that, so whatever else is in next month's bundle would have to be pretty terrible to make you regret buying.
Just to be clear, Paypal don't 'charge' anything for a currency conversion. They may not give the best exchange rate but there are no charges - i.e. no fees on top of a transaction price for converting between currencies. Although I sold something for $17 today and Paypal put £11.39 into my account. Google says $17 is £11.74 today so a 35p difference, which I don't think is that bad.
How does that make it a joke? The same goes for any marketplace - shop around and you'll probably find the same stuff cheaper elsewhere. Those who can't be bothered to shop around spend a little bit extra but they probably don't care because they've saved time (and time = money, of course). You'll still need Steam to download and play the games and it's still a great system for that.
Pretty poor, to be honest. It would be better for me if I didn't already have Alien: Isolation - although even if I didn't I might have been better off buying it separately. That said, I paid the $12 last month to get it early and sold it for around that so the rest of the games have cost me practically nothing. I'm keeping Titan Souls, which I've wanted for a while but not wanted to spend too much on it, and I'll be able to trade the others for something I'm more interested in. The next bundle is already worth it for Ark alone, so I guess I'm still a subscriber!

So can I just get this and cancel, getting Ark and a bundle for $12?
As a Linux user, due to Humble supporting Linux users less and less as time goes on, I don't want to subscribe to something that might be a bundle full of games that don't work on my computers. If they did a Linux monthly bundle, I'd definitely buy it.

Hi, if I sign up now for Ark at what point would I need to cancel to avoid paying for next months bundle? And if you do cancel early do you still get the rest of the games that will be added to March's bundle alongside Ark?

As far as I'm aware they only charge the current conversion rate (with the pound having recently dropped a fair bit vs the dollar).
I believe this is an all time low for this game isn't it? So for anyone interested in it the other games are just a nice bonus.
That said looking over Steam reviews it seems like at least some of the community aren't happy with how the game's evolved recently (pun intended  ).

Its just as fun on the XB as PC, but the dammed UI needs reworked for XB, (Which the dev's have said it's on their list). I just find it fun to relax with my friends in my tribe online after work or uni.

The fact that you're running it like that at 900p already means that this game is running better on your Aldi PC than it does on the Xbox One.
Unless you're into the platform exclusives I would say sell that ps4 as well. I only kept mine last year because of Until Dawn and I haven't switched it on again since Christmas.

You can cancel by logging in on the Humble page, clicking your email at the top, click 'settings' then on the next page select 'cancel my subscription'.

Easily worth it for Ark which is great fun and should easily consume more than £8 worth of your time. Just don't hold your hopes up too high for the rest of the bundle as judging by last months they put one decent game in to hook people and the rest are fillers at best.

Been playing Ark on the Xbox One.
It gets content about a month or so after PC, and gets a monthly update while PC players usually get new stuff every few weeks.
It's been super fun, and very fun playing with friends on a Player vs Player server.
That said, you need to understand it's still early access, it's VERY unoptimised, and has some glitches and the dino AI could be better worked. These things are on the list of things to do with the developers, but they're planning to release all content first and then work on optimising it.
In short, it's tons of fun, lots of content and things to do, but several issues ensure you're reminded it's early access.
