Sorry OP, but I'm voting cold - don't buy these, they are so unreliable! I got one last year when they had them as a special buy, didn't think they'd be the best scales for £5, but thought they'd be roughly right and consisten at least. But whilst I'd love to think I'd lost somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 stone in 5 mins, it was clear they were completely useless. (Yes I was using them on a flat surface, hard floor and had adjusted to 0, they were just crap)
Most of their stuff marked 'special buy' is pretty rubbish quality I think.
