Glenfiddich Rich Oak Bottling Note
A recent release edition from Glenfiddich, this was aged for 14 years before a finish in new American and Spanish oak casks. They say the American oak adds spice, vanilla and fruit, and the Spanish oak brings elegant fruit, spice and complexity.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Lots of oak influence. Very fruity, nutmeg, cinnamon, bourbon, fruits, dates.
Palate: Bourbon sweetness, with lots of general fruitiness, sublimely smooth.
Finish: Nutty and of good length, toasty, hints of char, fruity.

Seem to be amassing quite a collection with these whisky deals recently.
Just need to find time to drink them now.
Heat added.

Their Solera Reserve 15 y.o. used to be my favourite. Never tried this one but at this price I will give it a try.
Just noticed it's the same price on Amazon although it is OOS.
14 YEARS OLD?
Wha-a-a-a-a-at?
I can get brand NEW stuff for HALF that price.

This was the worst malt I tried last year (out of about 25 or so) - obviously it's down to personal choice but I was very disappointed with this.

Obviously you are not mature enough to drink this stuff
I doubt you can find a three year old (that's the youngest they can sell it at as Scotch) for half the price - oddly enough most distilleries will charge you a premium for non standard bottlings even for younger expressions.

One of my favourites too (and I tried about 40 or 50 types of whisk(e)y last year). Not the most complex single malt, but quite smooth and oaky and very easy to drink.
