Hi, this is down from £69.99 in the clearance and it looks like there is plenty of stock. I thought it was a good price for this brand!

My daughter didn't reach 13kgs until she was over 3 1/2 and only outgrew our Britax infant carrier by height at 2 1/2 years old!

No, that's for forward facing seats, and bigger extended rear facing seats that are more upright for children aged up to 4 or 6 years old. Because infant carriers are reclined they are outgrown when the top of the head gets to the top of the seat. In the event of a crash the baby might slide slightly up the back of an infant carrier and if their head was outside the seat they could be injured. Forward facing and in bigger rear facing seats this doesn't happen.

13kgs is about 28lbs, an 'average' girl doesn't hit 13kgs until she's nearly 2 and for a boy it's about 15 months I think. Most babies get too tall for their infant carriers (you have to stop using it when their head becomes level with the top edge of the seat) before they outgrow them by weight.

They are only too tall when their head is out of the top level with their eyes, x

I think they're down at this price because of fisher price current status.

It isn't the same model as in the recall it isn't even the same type of seat.
This is a group 0 car seat for £20 the article refers to the 0/1 which is a full size toddler seat that can face rearwards and forwards and other toddler seats but not the infant seat. So much worry about an article though apparently those haven't actually read the information on the article

Regardless of price I would always research the the safety reviews on Which? and equivalent as they do thorough testing on car seats and at higher standards than the minimum EU requirements. Price isn't always an indicator. I've had expensive Maxi Cosi car seats for my Son and then he got to booster stage and we got an expensive Recaro and Kiddi high backed boosters after researching them on Which?, only to find a Jolie high back booster that had excellent safety reviews too and I got it for £30 as a spare for my parents car.

The catalogue number for this one is different to the ones on the article if that helps

I doubt they would still be selling the recalled model, I'm sure a big company like Argos would have more sense than that.

Just because it's reduced doesn't mean it's unsafe, just like the 1000s of deals on here, there reduced but not worthless

Yeah! Pay more! It must be better. I'm pretty sure every parent is aware of this, it's a car seat reduced from £70. Presumably a £70 price tag fits your safety standards?
Seriously, why are some people even on this site?

Yes, it is likely the child will outgrow it due to their height first before they get to the weight limit.
My wee ones were in their infant carrier til around 18 months. I wouldnt say I was a carseat snob but I thought fisher-price were toy makers? I wouldnt buy a fisher price carseat.

I'm pretty sure that 6 or 7 years ago Fisher Price car seats were made by Britax (they were exactly the same shape, just with a Fisher Price badge on). They definitely aren't made by Britax now though, they're likely to be the same as the Nania/Team Tex/Kiddicare own brand ones. They aren't unsafe, but will only have passed the minimum safety standards set by the EU (which aren't really that strict!). But for a family on a budget using a cheap car seat is better than using no seat!
My 3 1/2 year old is exactly the same, just shy of 13kg. Whereas my 11 month old is 25lb. Poles apart

Not bad, however, it won't (actually) fit most babies up to 15 months as in description/weight (as they're usually heavier than 13kg by 1 year). Good find though, have some heat.

Stop spouting nonsense, it's a £20 car seat for families on a budget.
