When I log into my account online it shows I've purchased it but still gives me the option to buy it, why is it no longer saying that I bought the item on 23rd Feb like it did before?

Microsoft are fully aware of what's going on. I got a refund on my pre-order of This War Is Mine. As with the above poster, the agent couldn't find it. I told him I bought it from the Russian XBL store, he went digging and found it eventually. So there's not a chance in hell they don't know about it.

I suppose we do have to pay higher wages and business costs and taxes (e.g. NI and VAT), than most countries so it may not actually affect the developers margin? Also, I mainly buy AAA titles so usually its the big developers like Treyarch and EA... I think most of them can afford a bit of a hit! ...but I do see your point (I would gladly have spent triple the cost of Thomas was alone but MS virtually gave that away!)
As for proxies and fake info, isn't that the whole basis of this method? From what I have read, we'd have to use a fake address from the country being used and also use a VPN to spoof where we're buying from? Seems that they breach both of the terms you've mentioned?... am I overcomplicating it??

Don't worry they are making plenty enough profit even @ £27 a pop!

As long as you don't use proxies or fake information to make your purchase, then you are not breaking any T+Cs and it's completely valid. There are ways of making purchases from other regions without doing either of these things (normally involving xbox live credit).
If however you use a fake billing address, or for example a proxy to fake your location then technically you are breaking the T+Cs, although I've yet to hear of anyone actually being banned specifically for doing so.
What may or may not be a bigger issue for you is the moral issue - by purchasing at a cheaper price from other regions you are exploiting a loophole in the system and depriving developers of funds that they need to stay in business. Those who claim they don't need it and get too much anyway have clearly never worked for a software business  Personally i won't do it not for the risk of my account being banned, but because I think it's morally wrong and I would prefer to play by the rules.
Each to their own though.

This is my point, I 100% agree with you, BUT I'd like the assurance that MS do too!!

I'm a little concerned with the whole buying from abroad thing, especially as someone reported the other day that they had been banned for doing it.
Has anyone got a link to the MS term that categorically allows this?? Knowing MS and how they are quick to ban, they WILL want to stop this, and lets face it, its not hard for them to find out who's doing it.

But what are we doing wrong??
The Xbox One is region free, so will play games from any region.
We are purchasing the games, not pirating.
Can't see why this would come before game sharing in terms of people getting banned. Surely MS & the game companies are losing more through game sharing than from purchasing from other regions!!.
ie - if all xbox one users game shared, game sales would inevitably drop by 50%

I'm not sure if this is correct but the text for this game also indicates that it comes with a free copy of Valiant Hearts. THis is a wonderful game (Previously free on Games With Gold)

Btw when clicking the Go to Deal link in the OP and you get the Xbox 404 error, tap the United Kingdom link at bottom left and then choose Argentina.

It's much easier than you think. Really. Once you buy from another region, you will never buy from the UK store again.
