Have you used it OP? I'd like to know how easy or difficult it is to clean after using it. I have a moulinex juicer but it's dreadful - leaks all over the worktop and dismantles to half a dozen diffrent components which require a good scrub!

No, I'm actually debating purchasing at that price, I could just stick to Copella
Yes, I bought this one (at this price) shortly after Christmas. It's surprisingly well made with v good quality components. I've just used it this morning to juice a large orange. Washing up the 5 separate bits took only a couple of minutes. The only bit which takes more than a v quick rinse is the grater element where you will take a few seconds (with a sponge or brush - NOT your finger tips) to clean off the residue. I bought this as a replacement for what was essentially a powered citrus press - i.e. you halved your fruit and then simply pressed it down over the rotating juicer. I searched in vain for a like for like replacement after the juicer's motor burnt out and ended up with this Elgento - mostly because it was so cheap. I would still prefer the other style - much quicker to use - no need to peel the fruit first, but for what I paid, I'm happy with the Elgento.

It's a centrifugal juicer. Like every other centrifugal juicer, it relies on a sieve that will drive you insane trying to clean. Mine (a Phillips) also tries to grate my fingers down. Bits of pulp have to be scraped out. Oh and they're all awful at juicing.
Masticating juicers are where it's at but they cost super money.
Unless you have a small orchard, buying your juice probably makes more sense than buying a crappy machine and spending lots on overpriced, prematurely-harvested fruit.
cheapest i ahve seen for £49.99, shame i didnt buy then :disappointed:

Buy a blender and consume 100% of the goodness instead of just the sugars.

Hi, does anyone know if it is sturdy enough to juice carrots please?

a centrifugal juicer can also denature the enzymes due to the heat, hence why cold pressed juicing is so popular. also with regards to consuming just the sugars, you can juice veg to help balance it out. I have a matstone juicer which can juice kale, spinach etc.
