Good for light users who want 4G
Not to bad when you factor in 6GB 3M cards usually come in at £15. Makes the MIFI cost about £20.
Or sell the sim on E bay and MIFI is affectively £15
Not for all but there you go

I posted this almost 6 months ago and it went cold.
if your pc hasn't got wireless you can plug this in via the usb socket  and will act as a modem (osprey v1 was able to do this, so i suspect this can)

Bought one of these yesterday to use as car hotspot, was going to bury it behind dashboard, but on this model you need to push the power button every time you want to use it or if it loses signal or if it times out (No use for 30mins)
So no good as a fit and forget device. (pita to have to dig it out and press the power button everytime car starts)
But for PC or home use seems a decent deal.

Have you found a better solution yet? I was planning to buy this for the same reason.

Yes, works for me like that.
Actually, it works like a USB Ethernet device

Sell the sim on eBay = osprey 2 mini for your £15/25gb deal!
edit: sorry I mistakenly left out *cheap* but having seen the prices for the 24gb card (circa £80), you can get enough back to cover the device (excluding delivery, paypal and eBay fees which may come to approx £15). absolute bargain and is tempting me away from the non mini version (for now at least?)

do you have the link for osprey 2 mini for your £15/25gb deal?
EE make a dedicated car hotspot that used the 12v plug and also has a USB to charge other devices

Reserved one from the Warrington branch, but was told they didn't have them... had a nightmare - took ages - in the end I took 4x6GB cards and a device for £75 all in...
My advice would be to call ahead to avoid a wasted trip

I mine works
I faced a similar issue with my tomtom it would not start on my car charger by would start on my wife's charger which is this one
And when I got the Ospery mini from September's deal it just worked no issues
But only if the usb is plugged when the car starts
I'm after a mobile WiFi but this has very mixed reviews.

Bit picky for something you can effectively get for next to free. Your personal wants/needs will obviously colour your expectations. This is what I currently use, 4G download speeds are beyond my wildest expectations living in rural Scotland. Shame this offer wasn’t available when I got mine.

Ive just reserved one do will see how it goes. Should be ok. Reading various reviews it seems that it drops out quite often and battery life is poor but everyones usage is different. Worth a go at that price though.

Had one for a few days and it performs well with speeds up to 28mb which is quicker than my home broadband! It does have a couple of issues though, the battery suddenly drops from 3/4 to low for no reason, and now the worst thing about it... You cant charge it whilst using it! Oh, one other thing, the battery level indicator consists of 4 led segments. When charging each segment flashes in turn as the battery level rises but the last segment (which relates to 75-100%)this doesn't stop flashing, even when you leave it overnight so you just don't know when its fully charged.
It only takes a charge when you turn it off!
This was confirmed by EE when I called them.
I would give this 6 out of 10 as it works well but let down by some silly little quirks it has.
