Saw an expired deal at £2.88 and this was slightly cheaper with a different supplier. Already ordered my boxes.

Nope not these ones, bought before no issues.
Prices for the industrial ones go up and down, good price for these. But get ready for the "proof" that they are no better or worse than the ones from the poundshops from that expert website who do the testing, to prove which batteries are the best. Set up the battery in a lab and they can tell straight away how they will work in real life :disappointed: next they will be telling us that cars makers mph are the miles you will be getting.

...and possibly not. :-)
Hot deal, with no real evidence that the supplier is dealing in fakes.

I have used this company several times and they are spot on. Genuine Duracell Industrial brand batteries. Great price if like me you're kids go through batteries faster than ice cream.

If you go through batteries quicker than ice cream that's usually a clue the batteries aren't quite what you're claiming....

Do they last twice as long as the Wilkinson alkaline ones at 95p for 8?

No, not even close, Duracell are massively overpriced, even at this discount

I ordered 2 boxes of these about a week ago, they arrived yesterday, was a bit annoyed to receive a load of batteries just thrown in a padded envelope (not boxed)

just out of interest why would you have been happier if they were in a box?

Do you recall of they were delivered by Amazon or Royal Mail? I'm guessing RM as I believe they have restrictions on batteries now.
