Seems like a good price for a full game plus the multiplayer dlc. Lol at a multiplayer dlc gimmick. Reboot of one of the all time greats. Enjoy for a reduced price

I've said it on the other Doom post and i'll say it here: Don't pre-order games

I think most of your pre-order stances are a little misguided.
When we warn not to pre-order we mean from GAME and other retailers for £35-£40 months or years in advance. Or collectors editions which cost £60+
The money gets seen by publishers, they offer exclusive content to retailers etc.
When pre-ordering at £25 you already have the post launch discount, you aren't getting burned even if the game isn't great.
The game is practically finished so your pre-order isn't going to affect the quality, plus the market is grey so we don't even know how the keys are obtained.
Even if you only save a couple of quid on the post launch price (1 month), it's still a deal and the cheapest going which is what this site is all about.
Look at Xcom 2, I wish I had picked that up for £20 now that it's £25.

Good point, but there is no point paying £24 for a possibly broken game

I've preordered the next Deus Ex for £25 (on good old fashioned DVD). This could be the last PC action game I buy. Doom 4 for £25? I'm not the slightest bit interested in the multiplayer part. Although I'm happy to shell out £25 for a Deus Ex game I'm not so sure about Doom. Think I'll wait for sub-£20. That (used to be) the norm for PC games on release day. Times are changing.

I agree in principle but this game is going to be dreadful for any fan of the originals. Its taken on all the modern FPS mechanisms immediately ruining any chance of being decent. The already announced dlc and micro-transactions really compounds the fact they have no intention of emulating the originals and are only in it to use the name as a marketing tool and profit from nostalgia.

Pre-ordering this just because it is awesome and I am sure it will infuriate a number of people in this thread
I have also pre-ordered Uncharted 4
MAVERICK!!!!

Given this is going to be a niche game the price will likely lose £10 over the first two months. I think I'll hold off. This actually seems quite expensive for a cdkeys preorder come to think of it

Still don't get why people pre order games, It's not like the saving is that great, Most of the time there no saving at all, As someone always does it at a discounted price, especially when it comes to the PC.

That said, I really want DOOM to be awesome. I'd love a stripped back responsive violent shooter. Too many wanky shooters trying to be RPGs around. No time for that, if you have limited game time then you just want to jump in and go.

Only game worth pre-ordering right now is SFV. It's been thoroughly tested. FPS have a dire record. Just pathetic.

Good deal, but this game is going to suck. I might just be biased as I loved Doom 3 and they have tried to make it as little like that as possible, but I just dont think it is going to be great after the initial wow factor at all the gore has worn off and watching the same finisher for the 100th time becomes tedious. I can see the single player being really short, with the main focus on multiplayer, but like all the other deathmatch arena type games that try to take on COD it'll more than likely fail.

Only mugs pre-order a game this early. I bet the release don't even make mid may and is more like late June.

Tragic that they've made the box art 100% more dull than seen with the originals. (discounting the third, I suppose...)
Good price though!

It was £24.99 before the discount 3 days ago, including the dlc.
It comes out in May. It'll drop again.

You'll pay like £3 more at most if you wait till release with this. Only pre orders I'm doing now is with my mate on xbox1 gameshare since games are only costing like £13 each.

It's CDkeys, I highly doubt devs or publishers are seeing this money yet - or even most of it come release.

CDKeys clearly take a gamble with their pre-order pricing structure, key costs increase to cover the small loss they incur due to early purchasers. If a game garners positive reviews the prices go up according. Just Cause 3 being a recent example, though the impressive anti-piracy measures are evidently keeping prices much higher than anticipated. I suspect lesser known sites adjust their prices accordingly for those customers eager to save another 50p.
Such is the dilemma, I wish I'd pre-ordered X-Com 2 but I didn't... If a game is around £20 perhaps it's not too bad.
I've changed my views on pre-orders in recent months, but clearly use your common sense.

Couldn't agree more.
I've learnt my lesson thanks to Colonial Marines and Arkham Knight.
I will almost never pre-order a game ever again. I will make exceptions to the likes of HALO and Mass Effect, nothing else though. I don't care how good the game play footage looks.
