Their "grade 2" was just not accurate - the one I got was missing one of it's rubber feet and there was a lot of play in the screen/lid hinge so the whole thing just wobbled. I sent it back as SNAD, which was a hassle as the only way I was allowed to/could return it was by parcelforce collection or go to a parcelforce depot an hour away.
Maybe I was just unlucky but I think it's more likely that "you get what you pay for" in this instance. First time I've voted cold on a post.

They're about a 100:1 ratio of positive to negative feedback. As a seller on eBay, and the amount of people who don't bother leaving positive feedback after a quick, smooth transaction, I can imagine that ratio is even bigger in reality.

can't vouch for the seller but I've had this model for a few years and is still running strong

They did also have third gen i5s, E6230 which are 12.5" but were specifically listed with dents and scratches on the lid in addition to the general Grade 2 description.

I've heard good things about the seller, and eBay nearly always side with the buyer, but I don't think I can face the hassle with it all if it's up to standard. Then there's the potential battery being knackered, which costs a lot to replace.

If you get a decent quality laptop, then the prices are great!

Battery

We have the E6520's at work (bigger screen) and they are good machines. All of them have a bit of a wobble on the hinge I've found.

Stick a SSD in it and they fly :smiley:

Stick a SSD and update to windows 10 and you will have a decent laptop for he price. Will probably play some older games as well.

Personally,If I buy something refurbished, I don't expect to be new or without scuff , dents etc especially if the say that in the description...but at least I want/need to send me a product that works...After a bad experience with argos...I try to stay away from ref/old things...I try :smiley:))

I wouldn't take too much notice of the negative feedback, a lot of malicious folk use negging as a bargaining tool, or leave a neg then wait for an offer of part/ full refund upon removal. Happened to me twice this year and I only sell a few things a month

ive got one with a backlit keyboard optional 3g module and ssd drive for around £150 its amazing oh and a 6 hour battery if im just browsing,.

Have made 5 purchases from these guys now (4 i5 laptops of various models and 1 cheap dual core)....had a really mixed experience. Wont be buying anything else from them again now as it's too much of a lottery.
In summary 1 laptop was in excellent condition, 2 were acceptable and 2 (more recently) were terrible - of these i had to send 1 back as the keyboard was literally clogged up with dog hair underneath all the keys, it was disgusting. The very last purchase I made came with what initially appeared to be a fake version of Windows (I discovered it was actually genuine but showing as fake cos service pack 1 hadn't been added, no updates had been done and the laptop obviously hadn't been turned on in several months). In all cases (even with the excellent condition laptop) it was clear they had not cleaned any of the fans which were clogged with dirt, the last one I bought had pressure marks on the screen, a couple had chipped bezels which hadn't been mentioned. You might be lucky but then again you might not - it depends if you can be bothered with the hassle of sending it back if you're not or of doing the "refurbishment" yourself to account for things they have not done.

I have bought a Dell E6420 from these people. Core i5 and a SSD for about £170 which you can't really beat. When I first got it you would have thought it was brand new, apart from 1 missing rubber foot. I live local to their physical shop so I didn't have to go through the trouble of ordering online but I haven't had any problems so far after 5 months.

I've had 3 HP 8440p laptops from this seller. All at £122 quid. Similar specs to this e6320.

All were listed as Grade 2 but were very presentable. The 3rd one that I ordered had a defective 2nd ram slot. The seller was very good with dealing with the issue. They very quickly arranged for parcelforce to come and swap laptops.

(In fact the replacement was actually an i7 rather than an i5 - an oversight on their behalf I'm sure but a pleasant surprise all the same).

I'd recommend this seller.

Mine arrived today,I'm very pleased with it, it's in good condition with only one small mark on the case, it has got a back lit keyboard. I've installed Windows 10 with no problems and the battery seems to have a good few hours life as well.
