Please note that printing to ANY Brother printer, from Android, will result in poor quality output (jagged text and geometric shapes). PDFs printed via Android are mostly unreadable, as text often becomes an illegible smudged mess, and graphics become artifact laden. It's a known issue, and Brother don't anticipate releasing remediatory firmware (and software update) within the next 18 months (from Jan 2016) at least.

Never buy any printer until you know it can work with cheap 'compatible' cartridges/toner. :man:

Good price. However I have this printer, and every few months it seems to loose the wifi settings, and the only way to fix it is by hooking it up to a laptop via usb and running the installation software. This might depend on circumstances (router, etc.), but it is bit of a pain.

The issue only exists for prints from an Android device I believe.

So, I've got one of these and it is a nice little printer, can't believe I've got a laser printer for under £40!
I've tested printing from an iPhone and an Android (Honor 7) using the iPrint&Scan app and it has printed perfectly. I printed a 2 page PDF and a 2 page word doc from the Android and they came out perfect, not a glitch in sight.
I found installing a pain in the butt on my Windows 7 laptop. I work from home so this is my works supplied laptop (Dell), the install tool from the CD runs but nothing happens after I select the language. I then downloaded the latest installer package from the Brother support site and the same thing happens there. I then tried the installer package with the 'Run as administrator' same thing, it just doesn't work.
I eventually got the driver installed by plugging the printer in with a USB, letting the laptop try and fail to find drivers then in the properties selecting the driver -> update driver and selecting the download location for the install package I'd got from the Brother site!
The wireless I got working by pressing the WPS button on the printer and my router, If I'd had an older router without WPS I wouldn't have been able to get it working due to the install package not working correctly!
I've not had a problem with this laptop installing any printer before (Epson and Canon inkjets).

I'm glad it works well for you. All 5 of my Android devices result in the same terrible quality output when printing to both models of Brother printer I've had in the last 3 months... (HL-3150CDW and now a MFC L8650CDW). Brother tech support confirmed they would expect this issue affects all of their printer ranges (printed to via Android).
I quote: "Hi XXX, Apologies for the lack of reply. Currently, I would expect the same print result from Android from all the current ranges of Brother machines, I cannot foresee any updated taking place on the app for approximately 18 months as the firmware on the machines also needs to be changed too. I'm sorry we've not been able to reach a resolution, if your retailer asks you for a reference to return it please let me know and I'll generate one for you. Sorry. King Regards, P*** L****."

Wow, normally these things work the other way round for me, in as much as it'd work for you and for me would be crap!
I really like this little printer, It's all set on my network, got two laptops, an iPhone, iPad and Android phone all able to print to it. Pretty much the best £40 I've spent on a printer I'd say.
