Brakspear Oxford gold, Oxfordshire beer, craft brewed with a zesty aroma and a fruity flavour.
I was more thinking it's just over £1 a pint, how bad can it be?
No doubt some beer enthusiast with a big beard, wears no socks and a check shirt will tell all soon enough.

If I find some, I'll try it, but I'll keep my socks on.

Tried it tonight, worth the quid for sure, similar to some of the badger ale/beer or whatever they're called at the moment.

This is a nice beer. Not as floral as the badger beers, which is a good thing in my book.

Quite a nice beer but the 4 for a fiver deal in Asda is still the one for me. Yes another 25p/bottle but quite a few of those are excellent.

Bass and some others are £1 a bottle (500ml) in Asda.

I buy that deal every week, any recommendations? Had hopping hare, shipyard American ipa, wild river, ghost ship.

I'm a big fan of the Moorhouses ales. Pendle Witch is a particular favourite.
Heat to OP. Picked up a couple of bottles of this the other night and it's decent. Well worth a quid!

I like Old Peculiar, King Goblin and Shepheard Neame 1698 to name a few. The bigger Asda's seem to stock more in the offer and I also rather like the "Stciky Toffee Pudding" Ale if available.
There was a McEwans beer in the offer once, but not any more I think.
Generally I go for the 5.6% and over beers. More bang for your buck.

Got 4 yesterday, the shelf was empty but the end of isle rack was full of them, have to say it is a rather good drop, strong taste but very drinkable.
Seems to be the sort of ale where your backside drops out the next morning if you have a skinful, will have to wait until Saturday morning to test that out if I can get more friday

Whenever Morrisons have the promotional baskets of 500ml bottled ale for £1 it is always decent, fill your boots with this, HEAT!
