Reviews are shocking for it. Known problem with the on/off switch/speed controller circuit.
Good chance it will fail by the looks of it. Invest in something more sturdy for a little more.

Voted cold. Had one of these - it died on second time of using it. Sent to Bosch for repair, and when returned, it failed again after only a couple more uses. Good price, but carp quality tool. Ended up buying the Argos own brand (Challenge?) equivalent - with 2 or 3 year extra warranty for under half the cost of the original Bosch one. Argos one is more powerful and hasn't missed a beat in almost 2 years already, so can't recommend Bosch - even at this price. Argos version was only about £30 from what I remember.

Mine's still going strong (Bosch) after a couple of years of DIY. Being able to plunge cut stuff is brilliant - from door frames to bits of car and back to sanding in the house. I'd recommend this or any similar product as a must have.

Had mine 5 years and still going strong. Original pmf180. Things you can do are almost limitless

Mine has done loads of work. Abused it really and going strong at mo after three years. Never used Bosch blades with it bar original set.

I'd heard these green ones have a nylon gearbox and can break (might be clumsy DIYer's I guess) If you're likely to do heavier work then maybe consider the blue 'pro' version for £79 from Screwfix (with 3 year warranty I think) and a metal gearbox would be worth considering?
For blades I use Saxton on ebay (cheaper than Saxton on Amazon) and although their blades don't last quite as long as Bosch they're much much cheaper and work much the same.

Got one cheap from B&Q a year ago. Found lots of uses for it, particularly in confined spaces where other tools can't reach.
