The blue " sapphire " one is infused with herbs.....to the tune of several pounds more.

Thanks OP - needed a fresh bottle of gin (or two). This'll replenish the supplies nicely.

Bombay London 80 proof and uses 8 botanicals, Bombay Sapphire 94 proof and uses 10 botanicals in different ratios for both gins.
I didn't know this. (don't you just love Google,everyday is a schoolday)

Lovely gin - I actually prefer this to the Sapphire. It's nice to see that it's now readily available in the UK - for years I've been having to stock up whilst on holiday and fill my suitcases with it!

Cheers for that. I bought a bottle today. The checkout lady was trying to convince me the sapphire was better. Glad I got this now. Only ever had Gordon's and Greenhalls before. Also got a miniature bottle of the Hendricks to try as Asda currently have the 35cl of this for £18 which is a bit more affordable for me than the 70cl at £27. I've heard Hendricks is a good tipple too.

An ok gin for the price , a normal London dry gin style . Sapphire suffers with too many botanicals and ain't for me at all . Btw if you stumble into wetherspoons look out for gin mare and the botanist gin for not much more than Gordon's bog standard , cracking gins with a fentimans tonic (double up for a quid of course).

Quite true, Weatherspoon's gin palace is amazing to try various gins for the same price as a Gordon's.With a nice Fentiman's tonic for me as well.
