Serious sam 2 69p at steam 90% off not sure for how long but it seems a bargain just thought i'd add this here,also the other games in the franchise appear hevily discounted lately as well,they are worth a look at.

Anyone know which Serious Sam is the best one for local multiplayer N64 Goldeneye type shooting game? Is it this one?

There aren't any Serious Sam games that are anything like Goldeneye on the N64. The Multiplayer is mental and fun in Serious Sam games, but eventually becomes tedious.

Serious Sam 1 is the only PC FPS game I've played where you can have 2 player splitscreen play. (You need a serial mouse for the second player, and I don't think the feature is available in the HD update)
There is a splitscreen mode for L4D2 as well, where the 2nd player uses a gamepad, but I never got it working.

For £2.99 this sounds like what your looking for offering both co-op campaign and deathmach.
Serious Sam 2 might have it but it's not that well regarded in the series compared to the first and second encounter.
