I've been looking around for an over door coat hook for the internal door in the garage so that my lovely husband can hang his greasy overalls up rather than just chuck them on the floor (it's either buy one or look for a new husband).
Anyway saw this & thought for £2 it wasn't bad, it would do the job, so he may just get to stay for a while longer, Argos has a little banner saying it's the lowest price.

Depends on how much clearance there is at the top of the door.

It depends on
1. The thickness of your door. I have had fire doors fitted (building regs following a loft conversion) and the doors are slightly too thick for these (I've not tried this exact model).
2. The gap between the top of the door and the frame. If you have 'properly' fitting doors then there's often not sufficient room for the door to close with these on without scraping the top of the door frame with the metal.
Check the door you're going to use it on. If you can close it and slide a 50p (for example) between the top of the door and the frame then you're probably OK for height. The other problem is the lip which hangs over the back side of the door holding the hook in place. Often doors don't have sufficient gap for this when the door is closed.
The other problem I've found with these in the past is most internal doors are soft pine. Hanging one of these if it's slightly tight can make a mess of the door taking the paint off and marking the door.
Not as cheap, but I'd recommend 3M Command hooks if you need hooks on the back of a door and don't want to knacker your doors.
