These mugs now reduced to £2 are a bargain! Loads of other items reduced in the home section at Waitrose.
Should be available in most stores.

I personally wouldn't buy unbranded mugs. I would feel bad about it and wouldn't like to provide guests with an unbranded mug.
Just out of interest I favour Denby (English made only) and Le Creuset mugs in my home.

They are branded, they say Waitrose on the bottom.

Waitrose isn't a brand of mugs.
They are cheap mugs probably from China being sold by Waitrose.
If I bought a cheap unbranded tshirt from Amazon would it be an Amazon branded tshirt because they sold it?

To be honest, as your first post was a load of old pointless tosh in the first place, I can't be bothered arguing the toss with you. I'm off to have a brew in my unbranded John Lewis mug.

If it said Amazon on it then maybe it would be? These mugs say waitrose on the bottom. Surely your denby ones say denby in the bottom? I take the point you are trying to make though.

Even a benign mug deal can stir up fervent forum debate fever. I make sure all my mugs have a picture of Hitler on them.

For me personally, it's not the brand I look out for.... (Mug brands???)
But the handle thickness, mug shape and sometimes visual design.
I'd take an Avengers mug over a blank one, but considering more important aspects,
I don't really mind.
For stirring comfortably, I prefer the classic mug shape, instead of strange curved designs.
And the handle to be constructed in such a way that it's very unlikely it
will one day break off. (Sometimes, you can just TELL a handle is gonna break off eventually.)
Most interesting philosophical discussion in the history of HUKD.:laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:
Well said old bean.:man:

I bought a set of Keith Brymer Jones mugs and was most disappointed that they came with a 'made in China' sticker on the bottom.

Good find op. But no sign of these in the massive Waitrose in Swindon.
