Very cheap! Not sure why it's not hotter...no love for Waitrose, I guess

I know, very funny. So far 10 people have voted hot so it should be at 50* rather than 19*. It would be nice to know why people are voting cold, maybe it's cheaper elsewhere - would be great to know where :stuck_out_tongue:

You are allowed 10 'picks' of 20% off each item, as far as I know you can buy as many as you like. If the item is on offer, the bonus is that the 20% comes off the full price, not the reduced or multi-buy price. If you see something that you want instore, you can change your selection on the spot at the customer services terminals (our store has two).

I don't know something like a quid. £1.50 is a bit outrageous but then Waitrose' speciality is charging a premium for exactly the same branded stuff as in the supermarkets.

Ah I see now. I was trying to work out how 20% of £2.00 comes to 60p, but it's calculated as 2 x (£1.50 x 20%) which IS 60p.
Thanks!

If you think they are the only supermarket that strikes a deal with proctor and gamble then you're mistaken:
All the major supermarkets have it for £1-ish, some with a very similar multibuy.
Also, who buys brands these days?

I wasn't suggesting any such thing. My reference was for branded chocolate bars - Waitrose for some bizarre reason best known only to them charge more for the usual chocolate brands than you'll pay in Tesco or Sainsbury's etc. It'd be a fairly safe bet they do it on other branded products too - I'm never in a Waitrose long enough to check every item though.

What 383ml? What kind of size is that?.... I remember fairy being 500ml as standard.... I'm sick of manufacturers constantly reducing sizes but charging same!!
Look at a bar of snickers... I remember it being 82g and then 68g and now it's down to either 41g if you lucky or 35g!!

Very true. If your eyes are closed, you'll be ripped off.
Waitrose... if you do a normal full shop there you'll be ripped off. Absolutely!
However, go there when they have their HALF PRICE EVENT, matched up with 20% off pick your own offers on your Waitrose card and you'll save big time!
Shoppers who have no time (the majority) are constantly fleeced.
You see some filling the trolley to the top in a hurry, you just know they have spent soooo much over the odds.
Luckily, I have time to look and pick and choose from a variety of supermarkets etc. I realise most can't do this. And the supermarkets know this better than anyone!
