You probably have an i7 'm' processor. These are 'u' ultra low power processors, so not a like-for-like comparison. The equivalent now is Intel's 'H' range.
If we look at the Intel Core i7-2760QM, which was listed at $378 by Intel, it scores 6652 in Passmark. The Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ is now listed at $378 by Intel, and comes in with a passmark score of 8043. You are misinformed. This one is not skylake, the spectre is skylake. This one isnt capable of using active pens, the spectre is as it uses synaptics pens although not mentioned in the specs. The spectre is also quad HD and bigger screen and better battery life and the ash grey version just looks so much more premium than lenovo, plus lenovo has had its recent spells of lenovo spyware. I got a 500gb quad hd spectre ash grey copper hinge version for £989 but 250 version was cheaper, Hd version was also cheaper. there are cheaper options than on direct HP website by about £110. Went with the spectre even though had the 500gb lenovo yoga 3 pro in my basket for £499 at black friday weekend

I bought this model from Currys just before Christmas for £679.99 using a £20 O2 voucher plus the £100 cashback from Lenovo, so £579.99 in total.
I returned the laptop for a full refund for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the screen just wasn't bright enough for me. This might not bother everyone but I really noticed the difference when compared side by side to my old Dell laptop, my Toshiba work laptop, my iPhone and my Samsung Tablet (SM-P600), all of which were considerably brighter than the Lenovo Yoga 3 14". Further online research revealed this point is noted in reviews - the power of hindsight lol! Secondly, the fan drove me mad on this laptop, even with one browser window open, the fan was constantly whirring away, fairly loudly too compared to my other laptops - may well have been a faulty model. Finally, the keyboard, whilst pretty good to type on, seemed to sag a little in the middle for want of a better description. This last point won't bother many as much as it did me, as I tend to hit the keys quite hard and tend to notice any movement in all but the most solid of keyboards, as I happily hammer away at this old Dell keyboard.
Those points aside, the laptop seemed fairly well made and quite quick, certainly for that price. I found the touchscreen pretty good too, although some reviews suggest this can become unresponsive. I was disappointed it didn't quite fit the bill for me as I quite liked the laptop, but those points above just bugged me too much so personally I can't recommend for those reasons. However, there's not much out there for that price with a similar specification, but I've decided to increase my budget to find a laptop that fits my requirements. Hope this is of help.

Dire processor for an i7 in 2015, this is not a proper i7 processor, CPU Benchmark of only 4036, my 4 year old Asus i7 powered laptop has a benchmark of 5961. So 4 years on a CPU with 32% less performance is pathetic.

I'm typing on this same laptop, bought two before Christmas as Currys cleared the stock of the windows 8 versions to make way for the windows 10 versions with half the SSD capacity.
To confirm, it's a SATA SSD, mine is 256gb. Operationally it works well, with the mode switching between tablet and laptop really smooth providing levono's software is left installed as it's needed to deactivate keyboard and touchpad.
Can validate the comments regarding screen brightness, although I run it on low level to preserve battery life.
Biggest issues I see are in screen glare, it seems to struggle in bright light conditions and lacks a matt finish. Also the touchpad is difficult to get used to coming from a mac. It doesn't have dedicated buttons in the same way the MacBook doesn't, but the pad where the button switches are still works as part of the trackpad and I find myself resizing the browser continuously because I regularly then have two fingers on the pad.
Overall very happy with it though. Just need Microsoft to drum up further support for windows 10 tablet to make that a really viable alternative.

You can have either touchscreen or Matte at the best.
Some low end laptop is non-touch screen, but still glossy.
So if you want touchscreen, and to use outside, one thing can make up for the glare if the brightness of the laptop can be turned up very high. Inevitably, that would drain down your battery.

I can see where Nesima is coming from, with regards to the i7 designation of the CPU, as Intel have branded these CPUs as their highest-performing consumer parts so you'd expect comparable performance with other i7 CPUs. With that said, the i7-5500U is one of Intel's highest-performing ultra-low-power CPUs thereby rightfully earning the i7 tag.

The Spectre internals got refreshed to Skylake a few months ago, previously the top end was i7-5500U (I have the 13-4007na version)
I'm not saying they are the same - I am saying that the 1080p Spectre is similar spec to this particular Lenovo. I'm not quibbling about the frame as it's aluminium vs plastic
I don't think laptop prices will drop quickly any time soon unless the £/$ ratio improves.
Looks great but it came with a smashed screen they refuse to refund/ replace the product.
Bad Points−
The fact that it arrived with a broken screen and the customer services and technical depatment ( who can't speak english) are refusing to process the return of the product iur all round experience is poor. Do not go near them It is a con. Their website and phone sysyem are flawed and are deliberately designed to frustrate and delay any customers desire to get a refund on a faulty product.

Keyboard would not work after 30 mins of use. Once I had tried using the laptop in one of the non-standard orientation (which it's designed for) the keyboard then refused to work. Sent the laptop back 3 weeks ago and still waiting for a replacement or repair.

the lower spec (8GB ram / 2565GB ssd) is already available in John Lewis and
Currys.

Did the touchscreen actually work well?
Everywhere I searched before, current touchscreen technology cannot do Matte display as matte coating would interfere with the touch sensors.
Yeah this Yoga 3's specs were astounding for the price. I was just concerned about a few of the reviews I read with regards to the laptop not being able to wake up from rest mode and essentially dying after a while, probably going to return in.
Are they completely different to compare ?
