The first few series are pretty good, but as with a lot they get worse as it goes by. Worth finishing though.
Also I wouldn't really call it a horror. Yes there's blood and vampires and stuff but it's more fantasy/relationship than horror imo. You won't get any scares from it.

it's a good series that goes downhill at the end. having said that there are a lot of errrm, 'interesting' sex scenes. my favourite is babyvamp. it's quite humorous in parts too.

A show where every female artist was forced to expose nudity but first 3/4 seasons are good then gets boring still better than VD its a big budget show and u would love it after first season

forced ? how were they forced ?
do you mean that they and various male actors took roles where sex was portrayed as a part of the script for money and probably career advancement ? the only part of the males that you didn't see were erect p's and isn't that a law ? so they were not forced any more than the men were. you cannot think exposure of breasty dumplings is discrimination either as neither the men or women had chest coverings in the sex scenes.

we aren't really into vampire flicks or tv shows but this was a great series.
echo the other comments first few series were incredible and then it tapered off
great value for £5 a series !

You'd have to be some sort of Masochist to get through seasons 5, 6 and particularly 7.
Given just how bad season 7 is, it really made me resent that I'd invested so much time in watching the show.
So long as you're not worried about it having a terrible ending, there is some fun to be had in the early seasons though.

It was a great show when it started - waaay better than Twilight or The Vampire Diaries - so good in fact, that I bought all the paperbacks too (author was obsessed with what Sookie was wearing in almost every chapter!). Sadly, it lost its way badly in the final few seasons and the ending was just annoying - hence, I actually wouldn't recommend this set, despite the brilliant early seasons.
