Most games are more expensive on steam anyway, I would only get this if you want the refund option on games you buy or if your getting stuff like csgo keys.

Steam prices are as bad as PSN prices. Extortionate for digital media with no resale value and no physical shop no discs etc. Even the sale prices arent the cheapest. No wonder we all use grey market key sellers instead.

For most games as people have said you can source them elsewhere for cheaper so not an amazing deal. However some games will not be any cheaper, so this is a great way to get +10% discount. Found a few early access that the normal outlets didn't have a better price on.

95% of my game purchases are from cdkey selling websites nowadays - they're all instant delivery and always much cheaper! credit on steam is pretty pointless for that reason

And I was thinking of getting a Steam link, which are £40 but postage is around £8 so if I used this I'd essentially be getting free postage so I might use it for that.

I'm put off from Steam credit now, as they aren't doing the same 'flash' or 'daily deals' during their sales as they used to, probably because people can now refund purchases made at a higher price and buy cheaper.
