Listened to the "it's copying A New Hope" dweebs? Disney went safe with the film by introducing old characters with new ones.
Imagine if they went the all new unfamiliar route with the film and it flopped? The backlash from Star Wars fans (especially after what happened with the Phantom Menace) would have went nuts. Be happy that there is finally a Star Wars film worthy of taking the torch from the original trilogy and adding to the vast Universe of Star Wars.
