That's what I thought. Looks out of place in domestic setting. Looking more like for the trade, workshop, garage or out building use.
Let me use my pasting table as dining table & cheap out like a tramp?

How efficient are these compared to other modern day technologies used in heaters?
I bought one that looked similar from Lidl, took it back, I was unhappy with the heat output.
I noticed inside on the Lidl heater that it had a heating element inside and a fan, the heating element was like a larger spiral cooker ring used on the older types of hob.

They are 100% efficient - just like any other heater. Whatever power they consume is generated into heat (with a small exception of the fan which converts to motion but that is a physics lesson !). Halogen and infrared heaters feel instantly warmer as they heat objects rather than the air but the end result is the same.

all electric heaters are about 100 percent efficient. It's very easy to turn electricity into heat. this one isn't very powerful though at only 2kw. screwfix reviews confirm it's not very effective.
review says says bit rattly, i got one out of the box and wasent impressed with the quality but for just over £20 its probably ideal for small rooms, caravans etc

They cost the same as any other 2kw heater .........
*Edit - actually unless you go for a 2Kw heat exchange aircon type unit - these actually give out 2-3 times the heat out for electrical energy in but that is a completely different kind of heating.

They had about three of these in the Cheltenham store and some of the cube ones which have exactly the same specs.
There will be one more there today once I take mine back as it's about as powerful as a cat fart.
