The offer is back! £5.99 for 4 AA rechargeable batteries with charger!
They where cheaper 8 months ago, sadly I don't have time machine...
Not a bad price for 1300mAh, I buying a few sets to feed the kids toys!
They are also selling the No Nonsense brand AA, pack of 8 (4+4 free) for £1.67. Orders over £50 are delivered free otherwise it's £5, collection in store is of course free and at least you can check stock!

I got a few of these when they were £2.99 but not used them yet!
Typical Hduk purchase then!

I'd rather have these for £2.99 as well... Can't find 1300mAh for cheaper right now though....

Fair point. What I was trying to say was that I bought them and not used them so can't advise on quality.
I am not one of those that say cold because I bought it cheaper when on offer 2 years ago. :-)

rolstherat - I get that, I don't really want to spend £5.99 on them, but I haven't posted a deal in a while and this qualified!
I reckon I bought them last time round (was it really 2 years ago?! I remember kicking myself for only buying 2 sets!) and have used them a few times in the Xbox controller to keep the kids quiet. They do the job, although I don't recall charging them more than 3 times so far, that's not an endorsement of the ability of the battery to hold charge, rather a reflection on the lack of use I have put them to (at 1300mAh there's not much use in my house for them!)

Fair point. Still good value. I wasn't trying to put it down. Its been a long week.
Home bargains and 7dayshop are doing some OK battery only deals. I posted one the other day and it was kicked out of the park :-)

good for remotes and such like. Would be no good for high drain items.

I assume the usb charger can charge higher capacity batteries (2000mAh) and can plug into a laptop or usb plug...any rough figures on charge time?
