Amazon £33.95 gets you the one that's 80MB rather than 40MB. (Assume that's better but no idea why!)

It's the write speed, allowing the buffer of cameras to empty faster so they can shoot again.

Just checked on amazon you can spend £3 more and get the 80mb/s version! Very useful for high and large data transfer

Thanks. I always go for the one that looks "best" without fully understanding if I'm going to use the additional performance!

To be honest the 80MB per second is "Read" speed, not "Write" speed. Which looking at views are around 20MB per second. A lot slower. Sandisk have a habit of quoting high read speeds, while keeping quiet on write speeds.

Not just Sandisk, all manufacturers have habit of using high read speeds. Buyers need to know maximum write speeds of their devices too.

The current MyMemory deal for a 128GB Micro SD card + adapter is more flexible, 4 quid cheaper, and probably faster.

It's actually a SDXC card, not SDHC, and will only work on newer devices that support SDXC (SDHC is 4GB up to 32GB, SDXC is 64GB and up).

Just format it to FAT32. But yeah it won't work "out of the box".

A lot of storage at this price. Hot from me. As others have said. Write speed is pretty low but for the common user this will do the job nicely.
