If I stick one of these in an old Macbook - anyone know how to do a clean reinstall - I am a windows guy buty trying to help a friend - the guide I saw suggest cloning the whole disc - and I would prefer a clean install of OS X and take it from there?
Think this had gone anyway noe...Eur138 + delivery - which is about £107 even with a no fee card?

Just a query.
If I was to do a full clean install of W10 on one of these, how much usable disc space would I be left with?

480 GB = 447 GiB. Windows 10 install takes about 11 GiB, so roughly 436 GiB free.
Default pagefile & hibernation file sizes will reduce that figure, though they can both be minimised or disabled.

Good Price but...
Had two Sandisk SSD fail on me now - within the warranty period. It then takes Sandisk 2-3weeks to process the return and replacement. I just ended buying Samsung replacements and then sold the replacement Sandisk on Fleabay when it eventually arrived.
4 Samsung SSD that I have had during that period - 2 even longer are still working fine...

I highly doubt 1TB drives will be this price in a year, annual price fall is around 20-30%.
