Another good price, seems SSD's are dropping faster than flies.
Really do want one but I simply can't think of a good use for it! I guess it might make my 7 year old laptop work a little faster....

Don't think, just do it, SSD's should be compulsory as the primary drive in any computer.

Ha, when I get a computer worth calling a computer I shall heed your advice.

This was only £80 everywhere in the lead up to Christmas, probably better to just wait instead of use a random ebay seller.

Not necessarily a bad seller though. They have 1000 positive ratings. Also i doubt it will drop to £80 before Spring

Even your 7 year old computer will benefit to some degree, I installed a small SSD into my 7 year old laptop and it made it fairly nippy for web, email and such like. However I wouldn't bother putting something this large into my laptop as it would triple the value of the laptop

Wonder if this is compatible with a macbook pro retina (circa 2012)

Quite possibly, I recently put an ssd into the OH 2012 macbook. Why wonder when you've got internet access?

Not sure if I should get this, wait, or just get the 850 evo for £20 more? Not really in a rush to get one so could easily save up for better offers later on. This still seems like an OK deal.

The EVO is roughly 20% faster in benchmarks. Whether you'll notice that or not is another matter.
