Depends what sort of games you're into. I love Mario Maker for creating... Mario levels :innocent: Pikmin 3 is a great strategy game, Bayonetta 2 is a fantastic but really tough action game. Mario Kart, Super Mario 3D World, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Wonderful 101..

Had this free on ps+, wow i was surprised, i thought what is this boring game? And then saw my younger brother playing it on his ps4, downloaded it since, and had so much fun, which is what i think some game makers forget about these days, just downright good old fashioned fun, i wish it was on the WiiU

haha yeah this, it's worse when the guy starts saying he has a noob team mate etc as he's blasting the ball in any direction hes facing whenever he has the chance despite you being in a scoring position. Either that or the "shadowing" you and getting in the way so you have no one to pass, cross to or defend :smile:

also, don't forget to
a - charge at the ball and hit it no matter in what direction
b - hit the ball towards your own goal whenever possible
c - deny team members good passing or scoring opportunities if you can
d - stay close to the ball at all times - there is no need to defend your goal

Great fun - a classic 'just one more go' game. Those who've commented on lack of depth/content are right in a way, it is basically the same thing over and over, though it's compensated for by the fact the game was evolved over several years to be lots of fun.

I've only played with a PC keyboard - can anyone who's tried both this and a controller verify it's worth switching?

Garbage game. Bouncy ball and car physics. Feels like a crappy sub game or bonus level from a real title. Repetitive and boring. Would vote hot for the price if i liked the game but its not a deal if you're buying something u don't like regardless of the price. Not voted.

Bought this the last time and have clocked over 50 hours so far. Really great fun game.

Completely Worth it

1. If you can't score don't worry just work on team work, cross the ball etc in to dangerous positions.
2. Don't chase after the same ball IF your team mate already has control of the situation because if he loses it you need to be ready to get back and defend and having two players in the same position on the pitch rarely benefits anyone
3. Don't just sit back and defend when your team mate is attacking as its 2 vs 1 and unlikely he will score much unless he's good , if hes about to cross it in wait in the middle for the cross.

Just had a quick go before dinner...amazing fun! Highly recommended already.

Works great with Steam Controller too.

Amazing game for sure! Can be very frustrating though at times! Especially when your team decide to smash into you when you've clearly gone for the touch, noobs.

ok, downloading now. I actually run a 4.5Ghz I7 with a 980Ti SC at 1440p into a G-Sync Acer XB270HU - but I find the heavy graphics games don't have enough online players.

Nothing special. 970m + i7 6700. About the equivalent of a GTX 960 + i5 desktop? Game isn't very demanding at all on PC, even budget rigs should play it on high at 1080p :smiley: PS4 version just lacks optimisation.

It's only minor, sure. I was using the Paladin car for most of the first 30 levels. Turns out it's arguably the worst car on the game. Changed to Dominus, noticed an immediate difference. For normal players, it's probably not that big of a deal. Once you start playing with those that are similarly skilled though, that half second you gain in turn speed could be the difference between winning 3-2 or conceding a last gasp equaliser.

Ah sorry, I had no idea, hadn't noticed any differences myself.

That's a shame really, I didn't mind the DLC on the basis that I figured it was cosmetic and you didn't have to spend extra money to get an advantage, but I guess they are fairly minimal differences?

What hardware have you got to run it maxed out?

PC maxed out looks gorgeous compared to PS4. But they're constantly improving the PS4 version with every patch. It looked and played like garbage before one of the last big patches.

Infact there are hidden variables between all vehicles, theres a thread on the psyonix forum discussing it.

Whilst all cars may be the same speed etc for the sake of balance, some are better in the air, some turn a lot quicker than others, nothing drastic but it makes a difference at higher levels of play.

For example, the Dominus car in one of the DLC packs has by far the best maneuverability when it comes to turns.

fantastic game but infuriating when you get a team mate on a 2 vs 2 who has no idea how to play and tries to hit every ball and only ever tries to score
