Massively over priced drinks, food usually on the cold side, always an issue with the bill at the end yet we go back! Lol!!

That's because they made themselves slaves to the voucher market, slowly putting their prices up quite steeply to make the voucher look better value. No way the food is worth anything like the full price. They've done Orange Wednesday deals, Taste Card, Tesco etc. and basically now they only appeal to cheapskates. Those with money realise they can do better elsewhere for not much more than the voucher price.
Somebody mentioned Prezzo above, which does seem to be better these days but could also do with ditching the voucher thing and just lowering prices.
I'm getting kinda sick of vouchers, loyalty cards, buy one get on free etc. Just lower your prices and people will come.

Not voting either way but Pizza Express has gone down the pan in recent times.
It's only close to good value if you have a voucher and, even then, I often have to get a refund on my pizza as they seem no longer able to cook the classic bases. They try everything they can to sell you the "new" thin crispy base, which is rubbish, an when you order the original base it usually arrives undercooked and floppy. I've not been back in while as a result

we went to pizza express after Christmas because we where given a £20 voucher we had to wait for an hour for a mediocre pizza so within this time we ordered 4 peronis small bottles might I add. the peronis came to nearly £20 neadless to say we won't be rushing back and the staff where trying to kick us out the door as soon as the last slice of pizza touched my lips

Proper Italian wood oven Pizzas are supposed to have floppy bases, if you want crunchy bases go to somewhere like Pizza hut.

Prefer Prezzo, much better pizzas and decent size. Kids menu is much better and their current offers are better. BOGOF on mains.

Can you use this with the tokens you get from clubcard boost?

As the OP said "You can't use it alongside any other promotion or set menu." You usually can't ever use Clubcard Boost vouchers with any other promotions or discounts.

You'll still have to pay about seven quid for a pint of Peroni.

It's not compulsory to have a pint of Peroni. You could just have water - it keeps the cost of eating out down.

I don't want to go out for a meal and drink water. I want to drink a reasonably priced pint of Peroni.
Pizza Express is a rip-off.
