correct, I also had the 480 reference and was super hot, I believe was using around 250w. that is only at most 10%better in game than this basic 750, consumption is very low at around 50w, does not even need a power supply cable, it feeds from the motherboard. 1gb vram but it would have benefitted from a couple hundreds more MB

Anyone playing modern games need a 970+ to enjoy them properly.

It will play everything at 1080p (new stuff will need some settings turned down) - and its by quite some margin got some of the best power efficacy on modern GPUs. If you want a general use card that does gaming, and that doesn't use a lot of juice, and at low cost, this is a great deal.

For that kind of price, I'd rather look at the second hand market. You could grab yourself a GTX 670 for that price.

I know, its in competition with the Wii u in holding its price. Difference is people are still buying the 750ti as there isn't an alternative if like me your using a low profile HTPC case.

these baskets came with a 50% off until a week ago, I got one at £32.50 and offer is now ended. Nice card same power as the amd6950 if not better but 1gb vram.

Not a brilliant deal. My low profile kfa 750 ti 2gb OC was £89 nov 2014 from overclockers, £49 would be more realistic for this.

I don`t play games at all, only want it to connect my desktop PC to new 43 inch LG TV which has HDMI 2.0

I just want to have windows 8.1 running at full 4K resolution so I can see more detail on screen in photo editing in Lightroom, plus watch movies in 4K via my desktop PC. Zero interest in games.

At 50% less than this price that card is a bargain so I'd grab it while you can.

To be honest I'd pay the extra and get the TI version. Sometimes saving a few extra quid just isn't worth it.
